Establishment of the ARaymond Network in 1865 celebrated by ARaymond teams from across the world.
Employees of ARaymond Spain** held three parties in one day to commemorate the 150th birthday of the ARaymond Network*, which is today recognized as one of the world’s leading suppliers of fastening and assembly solutions to the automotive industry.
The festivities at Manresa (near Barcelona), the location of the ARaymond Spain production plant, began in the morning of 1 October with a party for the Agriculture team.
In the afternoon everybody who works for ARaymond Spain joined in the celebrations. They demonstrated their teamwork skills by standing on each other’s shoulders to form human towers known in Catalonia as ‘castells’.
There was also an inspirational talk by Pep Torres, founder and owner of Miba, Barcelona’s Museum of Ideas and Inventions, who spoke about innovation and how anybody could be an innovator if they tried.
Later, in the evening, it was the turn of ARaymond Industrial*** to party. They enjoyed a dinner and took part in a quiz about the history of the company.
The special guests at the celebrations were CEO Antoine Raymond, his brother François Raymond, General Manager, and their father Alain Raymond, who headed the company from 1965 to 1999. Also present were Jean-Yves Renoux, Vice-President, and Francesc Farràs, Chief Business Intelligence and Risk Management Officer.
